At the end of 2005, after a career as
Superbike rider, Marco Borciani fulfils his dream: building up his
own team, by which facing the Superbike World Championship among the
bests.
The team makes its own debut in 2006.
Sterilgarda lines up only the Catalan rider Ruben Xaus, returning to
SBK after two years in MotoGP. During the season, the team reached
good results especially in the national championship where Marco
Borciani ends the season as winner.

After the victory at the national championship, Ducati decides to
assign 999 F06 motorbike to the team managed by Marco Borciani.
By
that motorbike, Ruben Xaus succeeds to score Sterilgarda’s best
results ever. He wins the first race of team’s history (Valencia),
he is placed third at Assen, and he gets a lot of important results.
At the end of 2007 season he is placed sixth in the world ranking
with 201 points.
During
the same season Marco Borciani decides to put all his efforts into
the Italian championship, where he doubles his success being again
the winner of Superbike national contest. Good results from Giovanni
Bussei too. The rider runs two rounds (Donington and Valencia) with
Borciani’s team. Marco Borciani runs himself two world rounds (Monza
and Misano) as wild card. As well the team makes his own debut in
Superstock with Lorenzo Baroni and Niccolò Rosso.
After the big success of 2007
season, team Sterilgarda Go Eleven is protagonist of the riders
transfer market. First, it reaches an agreement with Superstock 2006
Winner Alex Polita in order to win the STK championship, then it
confirms Ruben Xaus who was wanted by several teams. But the big
surprise is Max Biaggi. The 4 times world champion will run for
Sterilgarda Go Eleven for the whole 2008 season. That’ll make the
feathers fly. Stay tuned.
